Call for AALS Meeting Volunteers

NOTE from the USF School of Law: We did want to let you know when
considering this work opportunity that it is our understanding is that the
labor dispute between the Hilton (where many of the AALS meetings are being held) and its union workers is ongoing, but that AALS is working with
section chairs to relocate events to the Parc 55 (a union hotel that is
deemed "at risk" but that the union has indicated is an acceptable
alternative venue) and the Hotel Nikko (a non-union hotel). Some events,
however, are likely to remain at the Hilton. If you would prefer not to
cross a picket line, you may want to request work at the Parc 55 or the
Hotel Nikko (this is, of course, completely at your discretion).

are listed below. It is important that you are flexible and can assist in
any way we need.

1) Greet program chair or moderator and offer your assistance at the
beginning of each session. You will also put out signs, continuing legal
education sign-up sheet and program attendance sheet.

2) Monitor the door to the meeting room and check each registrant for a
badge.

3) Assist in other areas during the meeting such as the AALS Office,
Registration or Message Desk.

Confirmations will be mailed to students in early December.
